A beautiful mid-century Italian Baroque style picture frame, cast with an intricate openwork filigree border featuring ornate classical scrolls, shell motifs, and dramatic flourishes. Stamped "Made Italy" on the reverse, the solid metal frame features a classic antiqued gilt finish and houses its original oval convex domed glass.
The frame currently contains a vintage floral still life print featuring a vibrant bouquet of chrysanthemums or dahlias in a classic blue ceramic vase against a soft grey backdrop, which is permanently affixed to the original backing.
