This official 1919 WWI Peace Souvenir medal was issued by Otley Urban District Council to mark the end of the First World War. Measuring 4 cm in diameter, the white metal medallion comes attached to its original red, white, and blue tricolour ribbon fitted with a vintage brass safety pin.
The front features a winged figure of Victory holding a laurel wreath, standing over a globe and framed by the words "PEACE" and "VICTORY". The reverse displays the Otley civic emblem (three towers with crossed keys) and is inscribed "PEACE SOUVENIR 1919 OTLEY URBAN DISTRICT COUNCIL F.E. MOUNSEY CHAIRMAN".
The condition is good, showing minor surface tarnish and light edge wear to the metalwork along with fraying to the original fabric ribbon consistent with age.
