This is a four-volume set of the Household Reference Library, published by The Fleetway House, London, circa 1930. The collection includes: Home Furnishing and Decoration, Gardening & Outdoor Work, Book of Good Health, and Home Management and Entertaining.

A highlight of this set is the extensive illustration, including "special art plates" and photographs. These include classic Late 1920s to Early 1930s beauty and wellness photography, such as the "Physical Culture" facial exercises featuring women with iconic sculpted finger waves and Art Deco styling.

Condition:

The set is in very good condition for its age with secure bindings throughout. The pages show natural tanning, as is expected for books nearly 100 years old, but remain completely legible and clean. Note that the spine cloth on the Gardening & Outdoor Work volume is loose, though the binding remains intact.

Dimensions:

Each volume measures approximately 18.5 cm x 13 cm.

This set would suit a collector of social history, a fan of Art Deco era aesthetics, or an antique-inspired interior.
