Antique late 19th or early 20th century cast brass candlestick featuring a classical draped female nymph caryatid stem holding a torchère candle cup, circa 1890. Designed in the Art Nouveau style, the figure stands on an ornate openwork acanthus leaf base stamped with foundry pattern number 1410 underneath.

Finished in a traditional French Bronze finish, where a dark patinated coating is applied over cast brass to create the appearance of solid bronze. Please note there is some visible asymmetry to the leaf drip tray, which may be an original casting flaw or distortion but I am not sure; please examine the photos carefully to assess condition. Good vintage condition overall, structurally sound with warm golden brass highlights showing where naturally rubbed over time.
