An authentic late Victorian antique pendant, dating to circa 1880. The piece features a rectangular 9ct gold frame topped with an ornate leaf-motif bail, housing a classical white shell profile cameo carved and set against a natural carved shell backing plate.

Behind the cameo setting is a preserved locket compartment; the glass lens on the locket exhibits natural age-related condensation and is firmly set within the bail. Due to the condensation and tight setting, it cannot be confirmed if hair is preserved inside, and it is sold as an un-opened sealed keepsake.

Suspended from the base of the cameo setting is a round, honey-orange glass sphere encased in a central gold band. The glass sphere is in very good antique condition, with no chips or cracks.

Tested as 9ct gold. The frame displays an authentic aged patina with natural light tarnish along the edges and sides consistent with genuine 19th-century 9ct gold.
