An authentic antique early 20th-century silver filigree butterfly brooch pin. Handcrafted with fine silver wirework, the brooch features delicate swirling scrollwork panels framed by wavy crimped ribbon-wire edges and arched wire antennae.
The reverse is constructed with a period open C-clasp and an elongated tube hinge pin stem. A lovely piece of antique European filigree jewellery.
Good antique condition. The delicate filigree wirework panels are intact and complete. The silver exhibits a natural aged tarnish patina. As is typical for early tube-hinge construction, the pin stem rests loosely when unattached but holds securely under fabric tension within the C-clasp.
