An authentic piece of English fraternal history, this Master Mason (3rd Degree) apron was crafted circa 1900–1920 in Yorkshire by the renowned jewel and regalia makers Fattorini & Sons Ltd. of Bradford. The reverse of the flap retains its original woven maker’s label reading "Regalia & Jewel Makers – Fattorini & Sons Ltd – Bradford Eng".
Crafted under the jurisdiction of Craft Masonry, the apron is made from soft white lambskin bordered with light blue grosgrain ribbon. It features three pleated ribbon rosettes denoting Master Mason degree rank, paired with dual metal chain tassels suspended from silver-plated bars. The adjustable waist strap is fitted with the classic antique silver-toned snake clasp, a traditional Masonic symbol of wisdom and eternity. The blue backing includes an integrated rear pocket slit.
Measuring 39 cm in width and 35 cm in height, it offers a substantial presence for historical collection or display.
Condition: Good vintage condition. The white leather body remains soft and supple with honest age-related marks, light surface discolouration, and minor verdigris/tarnish to the metal tassels and snake clasp. The blue ribbon trim and rosettes retain their light blue hue with light fading and slight fraying along the edges consistent with genuine ceremonial use.
