An authentic late Victorian era Bohemian Czech brass filigree brooch featuring a dramatic central amethyst purple foiled glass stone. Crafted in the renowned Czech glassmaking region, the ornate gilded brass openwork frame is detailed with repoussé leaf motifs and set with small amethyst-toned accent glass stones at either end. The reverse retains its original period-correct tube hinge, long pin stem, and simple open C-clasp mechanism, hardware styles that date the piece's manufacture between 1850 and 1910.
Dimensions: 6cm x 4cm
Condition: Good condition with age-appropriate wear, including noticeable flaking to the silver foil backing on the main glass stone as pictured, while the glass remains firmly set and the pin mechanism functions as intended.
This piece would suit collectors of genuine antique Victorian costume jewellery, lovers of Czech Bohemian metalwork, or anyone seeking a statement period lapel pin.
