Charming antique Victorian brooch designed as a delicate trailing leaf spray, featuring textured silver-tone metal detailed with shimmering marcasite stones set into the foliage. Dating to circa 1850, this exquisite piece captures the romantic naturalism of the mid-19th century. The reverse shows a gold-tone wash finish and is fitted with a traditional tubular hinge and C-hook closure.
Good condition with some cosmetic wear, as is expected of a vintage piece. The pin feels loose at first, as was often the design with Victorian pieces, but when it is attached to clothes it is secure.
Dimensions: 5cm length, 2cm width.
This charming statement piece would suit a winter coat lapel, a scarf accessory, or a vibrant vintage costume jewellery collection.
