This antique Edwardian cruet set, manufactured by W. J. Myatt & Co. of Birmingham (circa 1900), is a remarkable piece of local Yorkshire history. The base features a fascinating engraving: "President’s Special, Won By Waite Bros". Given its discovery in Yorkshire, it is highly likely linked to the prominent Waite Bros decorators or tradesmen active in the Saltaire and Bradford area during the early 20th century.

The set comprises a silver-plated (EPNS) stand with a central ring handle and four classic ball feet, housing four pressed-glass condiment bottles with a waffle-pattern design. The set includes two bottles for oil and vinegar with faceted glass stoppers, a mustard pot with a hinged lid, and a shaker.

The EPNS plating retains a lovely sheen, though it shows cosmetic wear and staining consistent with its 100-year history. The glass bottles are in good condition, with only a couple of small nicks to the rims of the oil and vinegar bottles. Due to its age and historical value, this set is recommended as a decorative piece of memorabilia rather than for functional food use.

Dimensions:

Stand: 22cm x 16cm x 16cm

Bottles: 8cm x 4.5cm x 4.5cm (approx.)

It would be a standout addition for collectors of Yorkshire social history, Saltaire memorabilia, or those who appreciate antique silver-plated tableware with a unique story. It makes for an excellent conversation piece on a vintage sideboard or within a curated heritage display.
