This is a beautiful example of mid-20th-century Japanese Export Porcelain, likely dating from the 1940s to the 1950s. Based on the tall, slender shape of the main pot, this is technically a coffee set. The pieces are hand-painted with a traditional landscape design, including the iconic Mount Fuji, vibrant thatched huts, and greenery. The decoration uses the Moriage technique, providing a lovely raised texture to the trees and rocks. The rims are finished with a gold geometric pattern, and the handles feature a rich, burnt-orange luster underglaze with heavy gilding. The base of the pieces bears the "Hand Painted Art China" mark with the Nampo fan-shaped cartouche.
