A mid-century Stratton chatelaine powder compact featuring an engine-turned gold-tone brass casing and a burgundy leather tassel. The hinged lid opens to reveal an inner powder compartment complete with its original powder puff and sifter mesh, though the interior mirror is no longer present.
This all-in-one mid-century accessory was designed to be held or attached to an evening bag via its brass swivel ring and fringed leather fob. Dating from circa 1950, the reverse is stamped with the maker's signature along the concentric ring detail.
