A mid-century vanity compact featuring a dark green enamel scalloped casing with a central gold-tone laurel wreath motif. The hinged lid opens to reveal a clear interior mirror alongside a loose powder compartment complete with its original printed paper instruction insert, sifter ring, and branded Stratton puff.

Dating from circa 1950, this classic mid-century accessory was produced in England by Stratton and features their signature "Convertible" design, suitable for both solid cream powder pans and loose face powder. The reverse is decorated with a fine engine-turned ribbed pattern stamped with the maker's mark, while the inner rim carries patent number 764125.

Dimensions when closed: 9 x 8.5cm

Condition: Good condition overall with a firm clasp, smooth hinge, and clear mirror reflection. The dark green enamel shows minor age-related surface scuffs and light wear around the scalloped edges, with soft vintage tarnish to the internal brass lining.

This charming piece would suit vintage vanity collectors, retro dressing table displays, or theatrical period prop styling.
