An antique late Victorian solid brass taper candlestick featuring the sought-after "The King of Diamonds" pattern stamped clearly upon the canted base. Manufactured in Birmingham, England, by James Clews & Sons c. 1897 to commemorate Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee, this imposing piece showcases a faceted diamond-knop column set on a heavy, stepped octagonal plinth base.

The hollow underside reveals solid 19th-century sand-cast brass construction with an internal push-up ejector mechanism rod.

In good antique condition with a rich aged patina, light surface wear, and natural tarnish. The internal push-up ejector mechanism has seized with age.
