A stylish pair of vintage lever-back drop earrings. Crafted in gold-plated metal, each earring features a fan or shell motif top cap suspending a teardrop pear-cut amber-gold faceted glass drop.
The reverse of the spring lever-back fitting is stamped inside a diamond frame with a maker's mark showing a central teardrop flanked by the letters "C" and "M" (suggestive of vintage European costume makers such as CM Cohr or related mid-century trade manufacturers). Fitted with secure lever-back closures for pierced ears.
Very good vintage condition. The amber glass teardrop stones are bright, smooth, and free from chips or cracks. The gold-plated settings retain a warm luster with light natural age-related plating wear on the reverse lever arms, and both spring lever-back mechanisms operate smoothly and hold securely.
