A beautiful mid-century Italian Baroque style picture frame, cast with an intricate openwork filigree border featuring ornate classical scrolls, shell motifs, and dramatic flourishes. Stamped "Made Italy" on the reverse, the solid metal frame features a classic antiqued gilt finish and houses its original oval convex domed glass.
The frame currently contains a vintage Dutch Old Master style floral print that is permanently affixed to the original backing. While the vintage print shows signs of wear, it does add to the overall vintage character, however a new photograph, painting, or silhouette can easily be layered directly in front of it.
