An authentic signed vintage 1991 MASJ brooch pin handcrafted in Wales by Edward Anthony and Maureen Ann Story-Jones. The brooch features a naturalistic, highly detailed scene depicting a songbird perched amongst leafy oak branches, acorns, and blooming wild rose blossoms.
Crafted in cast pewter with an oxidized finish, the dark tarnish patina accentuates the raised feathers, petals, and botanical foliage. The reverse features a textured finish stamped with the maker's mark "MASJ 91" and is fitted with a pin stem and a roll-over safety clasp. Natural tarnish and slight tonal wear on the reverse suggest the entire pewter piece may have originally been finished with a light silver plating over its cast base.

The brooch is in very good vintage condition. The front oxidized pewter finish remains crisp with deep relief detailing and strong contrast. The reverse displays the crisp "MASJ 91" mark along with minor tarnish and age patina consistent with a silver-plated finish over pewter. The long pin stem and roll-over catch operate smoothly and hold securely.
This piece would suit lovers of MASJ signed Welsh jewellery, pewter bird brooches, botanical floral pins, or classic cottagecore accessories.
