An original 1930s-1940s vintage Matthews' Fullers Earth Cream tin, manufactured by Rouse Bros. (London) Ltd. This round metal advertising container features its classic red banner and a charming pink rose and green leaf border framing the early 20th-century lithograph typography.

Serving as a brilliant piece of British social and pharmaceutical history, this tin is a classic example of a wartime balm. Widely used across the UK during WWII, Matthews' Fullers Earth Cream was an essential Home Front first aid and vanity staple, relied upon as a soothing family emollient for skin irritation, chafing, and nursery care. The rim features the text "Original, in use over 50 years," celebrating a milestone from its late-19th-century introduction. The original chemical formulation details remain clear along the edge, and the interior retains some of its original cream contents, which have naturally solidified over the decades into a waxy ring. The lithograph print remains bright and legible with minimal wear.

Please note that the remaining contents are degraded due to age and are strictly for historical display, not for cosmetic use.
