A vintage rectangular tea caddy produced in England for Edinburgh tea merchant Melroses Ltd. The body is decorated with a detailed lithographed battle scene depicting 19th-century cavalry charges. The rich maroon hinged lid features gilt-printed military emblems and "Charge of the Light Brigade 1854" lettering.

This piece dates to circa 1980, reflecting the period when historic Edinburgh tea firm Melroses produced commemorative and military-themed tea tins for the retail gift market. Famed for their Scottish tea blends, Melroses routinely featured historic British military battles on their decorative collectable tins.
