This mid-century solid brass ashtray features an embossed central medallion depicting a Dutch tavern tavern scene with figures gathered around a beer barrel. Crafted with four wide resting rests along the rim, it includes raised panels of foliate scrollwork and comes fitted with a removable spring-loaded plate hanger on the reverse for optional wall mounting.
The heavy cast brass retains a rich golden tone with dark oxidation in the embossed reliefs and scrolling rim details. It exhibits light surface wear, minor tarnishing, and age-consistent marks, remaining in very good condition throughout.
