A classic vintage Catholic crucifix pendant featuring deeply cast relief details. The front displays the Corpus beneath an "INRI" plaque, surrounded by the Latin liturgy inscription "ECCE LIGNVM CRVCIS IN QVO SALVS MVNDI" (Behold the wood of the cross, on which hung the salvation of the world). The top integrated suspension tab is neatly stamped "ITALY".

The piece is crafted from silver-plated metal. Over time, the silver plating has naturally worn away on the high points of the relief, beautifully exposing the warm-toned base metal beneath and highlighting the intricate details of the cast design. It has been newly fitted with a top loop, making it ready to slide directly onto your favourite chain.

Very good vintage condition. The cast details and lettering remain crisp and legible. The metal displays a heavy, natural two-tone patina from age-related plating wear.
