An authentic pair of mid-century Spanish Toledo Damascene drop earrings, crafted in Spain during the 1950s–1970s. Designed with a two-tiered articulated drop, each earring features top stud discs inlaid with a flying bird motif, suspending openwork circular hoops decorated with perching birds and floral scrollwork. Hanging within the center of each hoop is a swinging pendulum charm set with an eight-petal starburst motif. Crafted in the classic two-tone Damasquinado technique, with gold and silver-toned inlay set against black-oxidized recessed grounds. The reverse features textured gold-toned backing plates fitted with post mounts and secure butterfly backings for pierced ears. Very good vintage condition. The two-tone Damascene inlay work remains sharp and well-defined across all panels. The gold-toned metal setting retains good color with light natural handling wear on the reverse consistent with age, and both post backings hold securely.
